Kari Wahlgren has a statement for her Dotcon fans.

“Dear Dotcon fans: Due to some unforseen scheduling conflicts and work commitments, I will sadly not be able to attend the convention this weekend! The Dotcon staff has done a great job of organizing this event, and we are already planning my attendance for next year. Have a wonderful time at the convention, and I’m really looking forward to meeting you all in 2009!“

     Due to the recent late venue change for Dotcon – we have decided that the JNP Inc. concert, featuring CAMINO, is free for all those who have preregistered for Dotcon.

     The concert is from 8PM - 11PM on Friday, November 14th, 2008 at the following location:

     Closest intersection is College and Spadina and it is within walking distance from Chinatown.

     The shuttle bus will only be running November 15th 2008.

    The shuttle bus is a Yellow school bus running between the hours of 9:00 am - 2:00pm. The pick-up and drop-off locations are as follows:

Pick up: Nathan Philip Square 9:00am

Stop at: The Holiday Inn on King (70 king Street West)

Drop off: Holiday Inn Markham - Toronto (7095 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, ON L3R 1A3)

     There is back and forth service. It will take 40mins to an hour depending on traffic at the time between each shuttle pick-up. The last shuttle leaves at 2:00 pm.

     Dotcon is no longer affiliated with 1, 000, 000 Comix. Dotcon staff would like to thank 1, 000, 000 for all their help and support. We wish them all the best in the future.

     Dotcon is no longer located at the Holiday Inn on King (370 King St. West, Toronto, Ontario M5V 1J9) due to extensive renovations occurring at the hotel.

     We are happy to announce that Dotcon is now being held at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Toronto-Markham located at 7095 Woodbine Avenue Markham, ON L3R 1A3. The major intersection is Woodbine and Steeles, which has easy access to highways and transit. The convention rate is now $119 CDN per night and parking is FREE.

     The date of the event will still be from Saturday, November 15th, 2008 - Sunday, November 16th, 2008. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
