     Yves was born in Lille in France in 1985. He grew up around France and Belgium, living in Antwerp, Lyon, and Suresnes. He started DJing in 2004 while attending UPX, and met Amy at the bathroom at DC10 in Ibiza. They met again at Le Rex in Paris later that year, and again in 2005 when Yves moved to Toronto.

     Amy was born in Islington in Britain in 1984, before moving to Canada during secondary school. She met Yves in the bathroom at DC10 in Ibiza and again at Le Rex in Paris. When he moved to Toronto, Amy and Yves collaborated casually before forming VERSAILLES in early 2008.
