FO'REAL was established in 2004 for those who share a common interest in exploring the culture of hiphop through the art of hiphop and urban dance. It is intended to be an informal, non-profit performing group composed of undergraduate, graduate students, alumni and friends of the University of Toronto. One of the main goals is to advance the awareness and acceptance of hiphop and urban culture in the world of academia through positive and active participation in hip hop dance. FO'REAL has shared the stage with Bag o Trix, Soul Power Crew, Rukus, DoDat and Tommy the Clown (Godfather of krumpin) and performs at shows across the GTA, including opening for "Search for the Next Pussycat Doll's" MELISSA R, at Youthwaves 2008. FO'REAL finished in the top five at OUCH (Ontario University Competition for Hiphop) in Nov 2007 and is a regular performer for U of T's Festival of Dance. FO'REAL believes in positive vibes, and encourages all young folk to join the movement through workshops and performances across the GTA.
