Registration Methods

Information Methods Policies Form Pre-Reg List

     Here are the many ways in which you can register for the DotCon Convention.

Snail Mail Pre-Registration 

     It may take up to 4 weeks upon reception to process the paperwork.
  1. Print and complete the registration form. If you are under the age of 13, ensure that both the waiver and the parental consent portions of the form have been completed in an acceptable fashion.
  2. Send completed form with payment to the following address:

     Please make cheques and money orders payable to Dotcon Inc. Note that we do not recommend sending cash by regular post.

     Wait for the confirmation letter and check the Pre-registration List for your badge number. In your confirmation letter, you will be assigned a PIN number. This PIN identifies you as the purchaser, and you must submit this at the con registration desk in order to pick up your convention pass. For additional information please see the Registration Policy section.

Online Paypal Pre-Registration 

     It may take up to 4 weeks upon reception to process the paperwork.

     Click on the Paypal button corresponding to the type of pass you are purchasing.

  1. Log in to your Paypal account. If you don’t have one already, please register for a free account.
  2. Expand the "+" sign on the top left of the text that says "Registration Information" which will open a text box. Copy and paste the following into the "Registration Information" box and complete it.
    1. First and Last Name (of attendee)
    2. Mailing Address and Telephone Number
    3. Date of Birth
    4. Email Address
    5. Dotcon Member number (if applicant is under the Dotcon membership)
    6. Parent/Guardian Name (if applicant is under the age of 13)
    Complete the payment information (ie. credit card number, bank info, etc.).
  3. Click "Pay $xx.00 Now" button to complete transaction. Copy down the transaction number for future references.
  4. Wait for the confirmation letter to arrive via email and check the Pre-Registration List for your badge number
  5. Please fill out a registration form and bring it with you to the convention in order to pick up your pass.
  6. If you are under 13, you must print, complete and bring the parental consent section of the registration form. Please review the Registration Policies section for additional information.

Pre-Registration In-Person 

     Pre-registration in person is for those who do not wish to use the mail and/or online system. It does not give them priority processing over other methods of pre-reg.

     It may take up to 4 weeks upon reception to process the paperwork.
  1. Print and complete the registration form. If you are under 13, please ensure the parental consent section is completed.
  2. Bring a cheque and/or cash payment to any of our affiliated events. Please make cheques and money orders payable to Dotcon.
  3. Wait for the confirmation letter to arrive via email and check the Pre-Registration List for your badge number. Please review the Registration Policies section for additional information.

At-The-Door Registration 

     If you are not pre-registering, you may register and pay at the door. Photo identification will be required. To make registration quicker and easier, please print and complete the registration form. If you are under 13, ensure that the parental consent section is completed. Otherwise, your parent or legal guardian must come with you to sign the form at the time you pick up your pass. While we recognize that international visitors may be attending; only cash in Canadian or US currency will be accepted at the door. No currency exchange service is provided at registration. We do not accept US cheques. Please review the Registration Policies section for additional information.

DotCon Member Pre-Registration 

     Please be sure to quote your membership number on your Registration form (That is for registration via mail, paypal or in person) to ensure that you receive your discount.
