Zombie Band

What Is Zombie Band? 

     The concept is simple: we want to bring together individual musicians from various backgrounds and skill levels to create musical fusion! It doesn’t matter if you have a band or if you’re a solo act; if you’re a punk rocker or a metalhead or jazz pianist; or if you listen to Korean hip hop or Japanese rock! We want everyone to come together and see what new musical concoctions arise from the mix. It’s the next level of the garage band!

     Do you ever feel like music these days is dead? Lifeless? Mundane? Formulaic? Lacking in originality and creativity? We want to revive the local musical landscape through the synthesis of various musical styles, influences, techniques and skill levels. We also want to challenge musicians of all levels to improve and open their minds to new musical horizons.

     This project spans the summer and the fall, culminating in a grand finale at the Dotcon Convention in November. We want to see who has the most passion, the most drive, the most creativity, the most hunger for the music...we want to see YOUR POTENTIAL!

     Even zombies can rock.

Concert 

     In commemoration of Japan and Canada's 80th anniversary and in association with: Avex Group, One Million Comix, Tearbridge Production, The Consulate of Japan, The Great Hall Centre and Dotcon, J-rock North Promotions Inc. is proud to host a concert on November 14th, 2008 to celebrate music and culture from the East and West. The live auditions on September 5th will decide who will be representing Canada as the opening act for talented bands from both the USA and Japan.
